Alpaca Yarns

Alpaca fibers are called the "Gold of the Andes" because of their silky feel and lustrous tones. This truly elegant fiber is available in many natural colors, as well as a wide selection of "romantic" colors. All yarns sold in bags of 10 skeins, approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz each skein.

Available in 6 weights:
  • Sport - Very soft, great drape, and excellent color range. Each skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 130 yards in length.



     
  • Sport Melange - Complimentary to our Sport Alpaca with subtle shades of blended colors. Each skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 128 yards in length.

     
  • Chunky - Super soft, you won't want to put it down. This yarn is being repackaged into 100 gram braids and should be available in all colors soon. A skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 54 yards in length. A braid is approximately 100 grams/3.50 oz in weight and 108 yards in length.


     
  • Fingering - Great for shawls and baby items, the very soft fibers make it easy to work with. Each skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 215 yards in length.


     
  • Brushed Suri - A fingering weight in vibrant colors offered for all seasons. Knitters can add a touch of fun to their garments by combining Brushed Suri with other yarns. Each skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 218 yards in length.

     
  • Worsted - Rustic, soft and warm single-ply knit. Each skein is approximately 50 grams/1.75 oz in weight and 87 yards in length.
